Day 2 at sea started out casually around 9 a.m., even the kids slept in this morning. We had breakfast at the Windjammer again and before you could say bippity boppity boo! Michael was done his breakfast and ready to go up to Adventure Ocean for the morning. Patrick was close on his heels and they were in and having fun with their friends in no time.
Amanda and Darrell went for a warm beverage stop at Latte-tudes. Amanda ordered her coffee and a London Fog for Darrell, after she explained how to make a London Fog the barista was happy to make one. We watched a cooking demonstration in the Centrum for a few minutes.
The weather has definitely changed as of today. The water is a bit choppy and there are white caps all around us. It is windy and cool outside. The pool looks like a wave pool and there was no one in it when we wandered by after breakfast.
The boys returned at noon and gave us a hand tidying up our cabin and putting away all our beach things to make our room more comfortable.
We popped up to the Boardwalk Doghouse for lunch. The boys each ate 2 hot dogs and an ice cream cone, before attempting a game of ping pong.
The boys then begged to go to the pool. Darrell and Amanda decided that could work, they would use the hot tub and the kids could enjoy the wavy pool. The kids had a great time. The lifeguard asked to have Michael put on a life jacket because the waves were bouncing him around and the pool is too deep for him to touch the bottom.
We enjoyed our pool time for about an hour and started watching “Alaska” on the pool deck. We will have to find a copy when we get home to finish it. The boys were really enjoying it.
We enjoyed a relaxed dinner in the dining room. The kids then took off to Adventure Ocean for the evening. Darrell and Amanda went to the evening show, the Alley Cats, an acapella do-wap group. They were entertaining and funny, singing some fun oldies and some audience participation.
Well, that about sums up our second day at sea.
