We had a relaxing morning at the Bryans’ house. Darrell made some pancakes for everyone for breakfast. They didn’t rise like they normally do. Must have been the humidity or being at sea level that caused the difference. After breakfast we headed to the beach for the afternoon. Patrick really wanted to spend time at the beach with Felix. We went to Ko Olina Lagoon 4 today which is right by the Disney Aulani Resort. It is a smaller beach, but in a protected lagoon so the waves were mostly non-existant. It was much better for snorkeling and playing in the water. Aside from a bit of snorkeling and some games like water tag, Michael and Flora spent the afternoon looking for creatures in and around the water. Patrick and Felix spent some time on the beach digging a massive hole in the sand. We saw a helicopter fly by and some sort of military aircraft that we couldn’t identify properly.
Around 4:00 we headed back to the Bryans’ house. We got ourselves cleaned up and then headed to Uncle’s Fish Market and Grill for some dinner. Everyone had various varieties of fish and chips. They have a combo that comes with a “calimari steak”. It’s a big chunk of calamari. We’re not sure how they get chunks that big. Anyway, the food was really tasty.
After dinner, we headed across the street to Tropics Mini Golf for some fun. It’s been forever since we did mini golf. The course was in a bit of disrepair. Our performance was terrible, but it was a lot of fun.
