It’s our last day in Boston. We woke up and had some breakfast at the hotel before grabbing our bags and checking out of the hotel. We checked out at 11:00am. Our Uber driver was waiting for us when we checked out. We loaded our bags into the Uber and headed to the cruise port.
We arrived at the cruise port a little after 11:30am. There were already a bunch of people waiting to get on the ship. We dropped out bags with the porter and got in line to check in. The long was quite long. We eventually made our way to the front of the line, through security, and got checked in. It took about an hour to get through the line and onto the ship.

This is our first time on a Princess Cruises ship. The cabins weren’t ready yet when we got onboard, so we headed to the World Fresh Marketplace, aka the buffet restaurant, to grab some lunch. We enjoyed the food. We found the desserts to be quite tasty and probably better than we’ve had on Royal Caribbean.
The cabins still weren’t ready when we were finished lunch, so we watched the mandatory safety video on our phones and checked in at our muster station. We continued down to Guest Services. We booked two cabins and wanted to get our medallions programmed to open both cabins. There was a bit of a line at Guest Services so it took a few minutes to get that taken care of. While we were in line, they announced that the cabins were ready.
We made our way to our cabins to drop off our backpacks and check out the rooms. They are pretty standard cruise ship cabins. Patrick’s suitcase had arrived already but the rest of ours were still missing. We got acquainted with our rooms and hung out there for a bit until it was time to leave Boston. We watched the ship pull in the lines and sail out of the harbor. As we pulled away, the ship blasted the Love Boat theme through the ships horns which was fun.

The rest of our suitcases arrived by the time we pulled out of the harbor. We unpacked our bags for the week. Princess ships have laundry machines for the guests to use on each deck. We had some laundry after our time in Boston so decided to get that taken care of. We threw our laundry in the washing machines and then started getting ready for dinner. Once the wash cycle was done and the clothes were in the dryer, we headed to the dining room for dinner.
We ended up at the wrong dining room. They have one called Allegro for guests with dining reservations, and Concerto for those that don’t. We got them mixed up and ended up at Allegro instead of Concerto. They were very helpful and seated us anyway after informing us we should be at the other restaurant. We ordered our drinks and meals and had a bit of a chat. Darrell ran back to the cabin to grab our clothes out of the dryer and put them in our cabin after they were done. While he was doing that, he ran into our cabin steward who informed him we needed to complete the Canadian Customs declaration form that was left for us. Apparently it was already an hour late. He quickly filled out the form and returned to the dining room to get everyone to sign the form. By then, the appetizers had arrived. We ate our appetizers and then Darrell ran back to the cabin to turn in the customs form. We completed the rest of our dinner. We were happy with the quality of the food except dessert was a little lacking.
The kids ran away to explore the ship and activities while Darrell and Amanda returned to the cabin to deal with the laundry before heading to the evening show. Tonight’s entertainer was Nathan Coe Marsh. He combines comedy and magic together. The show started a little slow, but he had us engaged by the end. Some of his magic tricks were quite impressive.
After the show, Darrell and Amanda returned to the cabin and got ready for bed. Michael was back in the room as well. Patrick eventually returned to the room. He enjoyed himself at the Teen Club this evening.
