Wow! The kids didn’t wake us up this morning! Darrell was the first one up at about 9:30. The weather today was cool and windy. We’re sailing in and out of low pressure systems so the weather changed between partly cloudy and almost rain pretty regularly.
After getting cleaned up and grabbing some breakfast, the kids ran off to Adventure Ocean. Amanda grabbed a coffee from Latte-Tudes and then we explored a couple of areas on deck 13 we hadn’t checked out yet including the StarQuest Lounge and the Diamond Lounge. It was about noon at this point so we picked up the kids from Adventure Ocean (they’re closed from noon – 2:00). We headed to the arcade to play a few more games before heading back to the room. Patrick saw a couple of his buddies run by and asked if he could join them. We sent him on his way and told him to be back at 1:30pm. We returned to the room with Michael.
We relaxed for a few minutes in the room and then headed down to the shops with Michael. He hadn’t been to the shops yet. He picked up a couple of souvenirs and we headed to the photo shop next door. We hunted through the rows of photos and found all the photos we had taken (we think). We noticed there was a 5 for $50 photo package available so we picked out the six we liked best (Amanda wanted an extra) and headed to the cashier. It turns out we each get a free photo with our Crown and Anchor program status, so Amanda picked out a 7th photo. It was a little past 1:30 at this point so we returned to the room. Patrick was already there and complained that he’d been “waiting 12 minutes for us already”.
We chilled out in the room for a bit and then headed up to the WindJammer/Dog House for a snack. There is a Mountie on board who is doing lectures each sea day. Darrell and Amanda wanted to see the lecture but the kids wanted to go rock climbing. Amanda headed down to the lecture while Darrell and the kids headed to the rock climbing wall. The kids got suited up and briefed by the staff and then hit the wall. It was really windy! Patrick made it up one of the runs and about half-way up a couple of others. Michael made it about half-way up two runs before they’d had enough. The poor guys manning the wall were pretty cold in the wind but were very helpful directing the kids where to put their appendages.
The kids ran off to Adventure Ocean again and Darrell found Amanda in the the theatre for the second half of the lecture. We went for a brief walk out on deck before heading back to the room. We grabbed the daily trivia sheet from the library on our way. We relaxed in the room until the kids returned from Adventure Ocean at 5:00. We got ourselves ready for dinner and headed to the dining room.
The kids went to Adventure Ocean yet again after dinner. We went to see the evening show. It was another production by the Radiance of the Seas Singers and Dancers. It was an odd show, but the singing and dancing was enjoyable. We walked to the Centrum after the show and saw something unusual. There was a person wearing a set of nylons on their head with tennis balls tied at the end of the legs standing in the middle of the Centrum. There were plastic cups in a circle on the floor around them. We soon discovered this was a game call “60 Second Games” put on by the cruise staff. They had 60 seconds to knock over as many of the cups as they could with the tennis balls using only their head to direct them without stepping out of the center circle. It was very entertaining. A band started playing after the game so we enjoyed the music for a while before returning to the room.

Amanda grabbed the kids from Adventure Ocean around 10:00 and we called it a night. Tomorrow is our last full day on board. Unfortunately, the weather isn’t supposed to improve any…
